SYMPTOM:
Error screen states that the terminal is already running or
"Share Error" exists.
CAUSES & SOLUTIONS:
Windows Operating Systems:
The terminal is already running on ANOTHER computer OR is already
running in another window on the SAME computer. Look on the Windows
Task bar at the bottom of your Windows Desktop screen to ensure that
there isn't another copy of the terminal already running. If there isn't,
try restarting your computer to flush out any file locking that may
be taking place. If you are networked to other computers, ensure that
the same terminal number is not running there. Look at the bottom
left of the Point-Of-Sale Terminal screen for the terminal number.
MS-DOS Operating Systems: The terminal is already running on another computer OR you have not installed SHARE.EXE on your system. To install SHARE.EXE, add the line SHARE to your computer's AUTOEXEC.BAT startup file. This way, SHARE.EXE is loaded in memory every time the program has started.
